Especially for dog-lovers

There are a couple of artists whose work on CafePress I greatly admire and which, I strongly suspect, has far more sales potential than they are presently realising. I therefore decided to take advantage of the CafePress affiliate programme and create a new domain specifically to sell the items from these CafePress stores.

This has absolutely nothing to do with stained glass, the only reason I am mentioning it here is to create links so that it will be more quickly picked up by Google, Yahoo and other engines. If you are only here for stained glass then this entry is not for you but if you like dogs or have a dog-lover you occasionally buy gifts for then this might be of interest.

The domain which I chose is OurPetDog.com . When I began trying out new names at GoDaddy I fully expected to be there for hours trying ever-more-obscure word combinations and was very pleasantly surprised to find that something as simple as "Our Pet Dog" was still available. Not only is it meaningful and quite easy to remember but also it only has 9 letters which, this late in the game, is pretty incredible.

The artists whose work I am showcasing are really very talented and although I know that they are already doing quite well I also know that they are only scratching the surface and will do even better if I can find them some new customers.

If you are not already familiar with CafePress they offer an amazing selection of items ranging from t-shirts, sweatshirts and other apparel to cards, posters, calendars and other paper products to tiles, ornaments, decorative boxes and lots more.

Do check it out and also bookmark it because new designs are being added constantly as well as designs featuring different breeds of dog.

Jersey Journal article about the Harry Clarke Studios windows in Bayonne

This week saw publication of an article by John Gomez, local historian and preservationist, about the beautiful stained glass windows by Harry Clarke in the church of St Vincent de Paul in Bayonne. Here is a link to the article which appeared in the Jersey Journal.

Boston Globe article

USAF chaplain Fr Tim Butler was back in Kyrgyzstan this Christmas and reused the slide show which I made for the Christmas of 2004. Here is a link to an article about it which was run by the Boston Globe on Christmas Eve.
